Suicide......

Image
Interestingly enough the topic of suicide has come up several times in the last week.  I started reading a book about a woman who lost her son to suicide and is now communicating with him in the afterlife. I had reached out to a woman on facebook who had lost her son to suicide and was asking people to accept a photo of him in their home so that her son could "see the world" as he had always wanted to do, and to help increase suicide awareness, and then several questions came in from many of you about suicide. So, I am going to the CREW with these questions today in meditation...... are you ready to go deep? Me- Ok guys, first question.  "When a person commits suidice do they usually regret having done so when they get to the other side?" John- (my fransican monk with twinkly blue eyes and pure white hair) Yes and no would be the truthful answer to that question young lady.  The person whom chooses to end their own life most usually experiences sev...

Strengthen your Strengths not your Weaknesses

The Fire Starter Sessions Have you heard of this book?  Have you been blessed enough to have even seen Danielle LaPorte on video? Well, I was introduced to her just yesterday by one of my dearest friends and already she has lit a fire in my heart, which I shared with my husband this morning.  We are both on FIRE inside again- for life, for change, for expansion into what could be. "Strengthen your Strengths not your weaknesses" she says.  "Your strengths are the things that strengthen you and your weaknesses are the things that weaken you"...... Those things that make you feel alive, joy, etc.- those are what you want to put your focus and attention on expanding- not on the things that drain you, bore you or feel like a burden. Hmmm, what an awesome concept!  I was taught, like most people I know, to be well-rounded.  To work on your weaknesses and put time, effort and energy into making them stronger skills.  Which, like most people, I never enjo...

Heaven says.... Just be Yourself.

Image
I recently recorded and watched one of those yearly PBS specials with Wayne Dyer.  (A"must record" so you can fast forward through the every 10 min. sales pitches)  There was a moment for me, as there is every time I watch him, where I was struck by the message I needed to hear. This program, Wishes Fulfilled, featured Wayne talking again about the fundamentals of creating what you want in life (nothing new for me there so........... fast forward) and he spoke about a woman named Anita who had a powerful near death experience and had come to share the wisdom she had gained from it. Hold on a minute- PUT DOWN THE REMOTE!  Bells ringing, alert mind and spine tingling, I began to concentrate on the words she spoke.  Here is what she said that literally sent me into tears. Anita, had multi-system organ failure and was dying in a coma (why I don't know, as my ears weren't paying full attention just yet, oops).  While she was in this coma, she was able to hea...

Sheep in Wolf's clothing....

Image
Sheep in Wolf's Clothing I've been doing some deep clearing work on myself lately. I found a new technique for "deep cleaning" the auric field ( The Healing Codes ) and it's bringing up some interesting memories and images for me to explore.  For me it's been a spiritual, emotional and mental detox that then moves through the cellular detox of my body- so I'm feeling like I have a touch of the flu most evenings.  I recognize this as a healing response; a sign that things are getting cleared & It feels great to let it all go. This morning as I was in meditation and letting the images of forgiveness move through me, I heard the voice of my guide speak to me.  I've been working with a new Spirit Guide, since my longtime dear friend and guide Red Eagle introduced and "handed me off" to her. Her name is Anne (Annie to me) and today she presented me with this image/idea to contemplate.   "If you see someone behaving in a wa...

Facing your Inner Hecklers

Image
Waldorf & Statler- The Muppet Show Hecklers Waldorf : These seats are awful.  Statler : Why? Can't you see anything?  Waldorf : That's the problem. I can see everything.  One of the great lessons, I believe, that Jim Henson taught me as a child is to face the hecklers in my life and to recognize they are a natural part of our every day audience. Never are we faced with 100% support by everyone we meet.   There are always going to be those who don't appreciate the performance you are giving the world.  And most likely, they'll let you know about it. And hardly ever do we meet change in our life without some part of us resisting it with nasty or fearful comments- trying to get us to stay right where we are, or to plain ol' just give up and get off the stage. Kermit the Frog, one of my gurus in life, never gave up.  The show must go on! He did however constantly deal with interruptions, complaints and the insecurities and big egos...

Is that a Light at the end of the tunnel?

I love my job.  What's not to love about encouraging others to love themselves, reminding them that God is within them and challenging them to give into their heart's desire? The truth is, in order to get someone to that understanding you have to walk with them through what's holding them back or hurting their heart so deeply they feel they cannot possibly heal.  And this, my friends, is challenging. It's challenging to hear about the loss of a sweet baby, to hear about someone going through a divorce, or someone who just lost their job and their husband in the same week- really challenging. But, I do it anyway.  Why?  Because I know without a doubt, things always get better and our deepest losses can guide us to our greatest joys.  I know because I've walked through my own losses and found God and myself in that pain- sometimes after digging through some knee deep sh*t for so long I was ready to quit.  But that light at the end of the tunnel always,...

Ferris Wheel of Life

Image
Life is a ferris wheel. It goes around and around, up to the top, down to the bottom- where one day we choose to get the hell off. Sometimes the circle flows slowly and lingers at the top, feeling spectacular and fulfilling. And other times, it's f***ing nauseating and feels like the guy running the machine has lost his marbles. Some days I sit back and wonder- is my life just stuck in high gear? I am a perfectly sane, deeply aware and grounded individual, but the chaos around me is almost too much to bear at times. Yet, I'm sticking it out, cause I like that view from the top. Might even admit I'm addicted to it. I love the moments after hell has broken loose, faith was held, truth was spoken and feet were planted firmly in who I am, that I find peace and a deep quiet sense of "see everything does work out for the better". AKA- the View is Great from UP HERE.  Today I'm in that place. The wheel's been spinning fast these last few months. I...

If you are a man who loves a woman- it's time to be conscious

Image
This video was sent to me by a friend.  As I watched it I felt deep sorrow rise up for release, healing. I cried for myself, for my daughter and for all women, tears of gratitude. I did not even know the depth of wound that was within my own soul for the injustices of the divine feminine. I felt the sincerity of these men and my heart wept, my soul celebrated at their bravery and humility. I feel hope for what could be- do you?

Life can be messy but Courage cleans it up

Image
I took this self portrait a few days ago.  The necklace, which reads "Courage to be ME" was something I made for myself years ago.  On the other side of it is a picture of Calamity Jane, cowgirl boots and her gun included.  Some days, I just need to wear it.  Life has been messy and challenging lately, things are changing all around me and inside of me.  Don't get me wrong my love, I'm up for the challenge, as long as I've got my cowgirl boots and gun at my side (grinning). Really though, joking aside, it's my courage that I find to be my greatest asset in life.  The courage to keep getting up, keep telling the truth, and even when I'm tired to keep asking for more.  It's how I'm made and I trust the one who put it inside of me to teach me how to use it in the best way possible.  So, courage has to be challenged to grow and fear has to be stared down in the face with a bring it on attitude in my world. So let the changes come- let the wor...

A Love Letter to Myself (& to you)

Image
Oh my dear sweet heart, how I cherish you. Your tender heart is soft with tears and open open open. How I long to hold you close to me and bring you a cup of tea, to wrap you in love blankets and sing you a song of you. The world is busy and full, but you can take your time my dear sweet heart.  You will not be left behind. Oh, how the Universe sings when you sit quiet and listen. The freckles on your face remind me of all the angels who have kissed your cheeks whilst you were sleeping. Rest my sweet heart.  Rest your angel heart & wings. All is well and life holds itself awake for your return.

Hypertension & Honoring the Body's Voice

The best way I honor my body is to "listen" to it aches and pains as cries for love and attention. Recently I had my blood pressure taken and it was 128/86 !!!  I was shocked and also, paradoxically, not so surprised. I went home and sat with the information in meditation. It came to my attention that my "hypertension" was really inner anger.  I couldn't immediately identify what I was angry about, but, when I found myself yelling at my son and my husband the next morning about having to micromanage their lives I witnessed myself.  Yikes...... there's my anger and it's ugly today. So, over the next few days the anger began to seep up from my blood vessels to my awareness.  Lordy lordy, I'm seeing anger all over the place in small doses, adding up to a hell of a lot.  So, it's boundary setting time again in my world.  Time to pull the word NO back out of my pocket and use it. I've also booked a trip to Mexico for JUST my hu...
