Red Eagle.... my Master Guide

Image
I wanted to, as promised, tell you more information about my CREW. Today, I feel it is most fitting to begin with my Master Guide, Red Eagle.  What is a master guide?  A master guide also known as 'the guardian angel' who walks beside you through your whole life journey.  They have lived upon this Earth and have mastered the challenges that you are taking on. They offer themselves completely and freely in service to you during your lifetime and often through many of your lifetimes. They are not assigned to you but are are chosen by you personally. Even if you don't recognize their presence in your life they are there- fully loving and fully encouraging you to choose with your best self's interest in mind. When I was a child I had an imaginary friend named Rody.  I don't remember Rody at all, it was just something my mother remembers around the age of 2 or 3 for me.  As I grew up I was completely unaware of this presence any longer. I know now Rody was...

Introducing "The Crew"

Holy Shit.... it's been awhile.  I almost forgot I even had a blog. Until last evening one of my "crew members" Ann- came to me and said, "We have something new we'd love to do through you." "Shoot", I said "I'm all ears" and sat down and closed my eyes to listen. Listening to Ann, means getting settled and getting quiet and opening my heart.  It takes my full attention. You see, Ann, is not alive- not in the physical sense that is.  Ann is one of my spirit guides, one of a group of four awesome Souls I call "My Crew". "Your getting better at connecting with us and hearing us accurately" she said.  "We'd like to ask you to let us teach through you now.  To communicate with those who have questions about life, the afterlife or whatever strikes their fancy. And we think you are ready to let that happen." "Do you mean channeling?" I said with slumped shoulders.  "I don't wan...

The Voice inside my head.....

Image
Miriam- My Spirit Helper for Mediumship There is something that I am deeply, deeply grateful for that most people aren't even aware of in their own lives- the voices of my spirit guides. I spend most of my days with at least one spirit beside me and sometimes 2-3.  They are constantly offering helpful hints, little jokes and ways to look at life that help me breath easier.  I LOVE these souls- Red Eagle, Annie, & Miriam. I have never met them in the physical world.  They are not individuals from my own family who have passed.  And yet, they are deeply important to me and I love them as much as if they were. I get asked all the time by my clients, "How do you connect with your Spirit Guide?", "Who are they?" And frequently hear, "I would LOVE to hear mine like you do". My reply is usually, "Well then you need to spend the time with your guide like I do. You need to make the relationship valid & real and invest your time and ene...

The Myth of Earth Bound Spirits

Image
The Myth of Earth Bound Spirits If you have ever caught a glimpse of some of the new medium/ghost shows on television, you are bound to run across one of them proclaiming the idea of a spirit being "stuck" here on Earth. I have NEVER run across a "stuck" spirit in all my 15 years of doing healing & mediumship work- NEVER.  Although, this is what my teacher taught me & I believed in this idea for awhile- I could never really find proof of it.    And now, I know  the idea that a spirit can get lost on their way to the light, or can be denied entry by their own confusion is false.  What pain this idea causes those left behind!   To think not only their son may have committed suicide in an act of pain, but that he also isn't receiving relief and love because he's stuck here by the regret.  Or that dad is disappointed and hurting because we didn't take him to the doctor right away and he ended up dying. What I have run across is s...

Spirituality is a Sacred Subjective Experience

Image
Have you ever had a deeply spiritual and transforming experience that you couldn't wait to share with your friends, loved ones or co-workers because you just knew it was going to change their mind or life?  And did you notice that after sharing the experience you felt a little less excited or deflated in some way?  This is a common occurrence when sharing your Sacred Experiences with others. It's because spirituality is a one on one experience- it's subjective. To try and share the feelings of elation, "proof" and transformation with others is to share the experience vicariously and indirectly and it just plain ol' loses it's punch. I have had many a client run home to tell their family members about the amazing reading they had, only to meet with skepticism and hole punching enthusiasm.  It hurts but it's human nature to be skeptical. We are so afraid of being made a fool of, or being ripped off and we can't wait to point out how anothe...

Infinite Love & Reincarnation

Image
A few weeks ago I taught a class on reincarnation and it was powerful for me and for those who attended.  I haven't always believed in past lives.  In fact, I grew up Southern Baptist and was taught, "One shot, that's all you got."  So, when the idea of past lives showed up for me, I struggled to let it in. When my son was a small boy, like the child in this video, he used to say things to me that I found slightly "freaky", like...... "You were my mom the last time I was here but you're not my mom in the next time." "What do you mean next time?", I asked confused. "Next time you work in a big building as a writer I think, but you are best friends with my mom." Huh? "So what's it like there in this 'next time' ", I ask. "There are lots of big silver buildings everywhere." Ok.   Very weird. He was quite young, around the age of 5 and definitely in love with his momma and not...

LOVE THIS!

Image
I came across this incredibly artistic & creative planner for 2012!! I had to share it with you cause it's so beautiful and truly a gift for yourself.  When I came across it I thought cool idea and ten bucks- it's worth a shot..... Little did I realize,  the creator filled every page with color and watercolor art, along with thoughtful meditations, intention setting for 2012, and a monthly planner.  It ROCKS! This morning I made myself a nice cup of warm coffee and started working through it.  I loved it so much I have decided to make it a weekly ritual to help get clear on my intentions and to live a year of NO REGRETS (my theme for 2012). Hope you check it out and if you buy it for yourself- let me know how you like it :) Goddess Guidebook for 2012

Wear your Cape & Crown

Image
I have a card that sits in my art room, that I purchased at Three Sister's Spirit which reads: I'm fairly certain that given a Cape and a nice tiara, I could save the world Now, aside from the literal translation- I love this card and it's truth because of what it reminds me about myself and my life. My "Cape" is my faith of a divine plan for my life.  I carry it on my shoulders as a sense of responsibility to myself and to my fellow souls on this Earth.  I know in my heart I am here with a very clear purpose and that my life will flow and carry me in each moment towards expressing that purpose.  If I enjoy it or not, it's my choice. I discovered my purpose in 2001 at my ministerial training retreat.  Our teacher had suggested that we go sit with God, alone, and listen to why we had been called to the ministry.  I admit I was afraid, not of hearing nothing, but of actually hearing something that felt too big, or heavy to take on. It wasn't...

Ferris Wheel of Life

Image
Life is a ferris wheel. It goes around and around, up to the top, down to the bottom- where one day we choose to get the hell off. Sometimes the circle flows slowly and lingers at the top, feeling spectacular and fulfilling. And other times, it's f***ing nauseating and feels like the guy running the machine has lost his marbles. Some days I sit back and wonder- is my life just stuck in high gear? I am a perfectly sane, deeply aware and grounded individual, but the chaos around me is almost too much to bear at times. Yet, I'm sticking it out, cause I like that view from the top. Might even admit I'm addicted to it. I love the moments after hell has broken loose, faith was held, truth was spoken and feet were planted firmly in who I am, that I find peace and a deep quiet sense of "see everything does work out for the better". AKA- the View is Great from UP HERE.  Today I'm in that place. The wheel's been spinning fast these last few months. I...

If you are a man who loves a woman- it's time to be conscious

Image
This video was sent to me by a friend.  As I watched it I felt deep sorrow rise up for release, healing. I cried for myself, for my daughter and for all women, tears of gratitude. I did not even know the depth of wound that was within my own soul for the injustices of the divine feminine. I felt the sincerity of these men and my heart wept, my soul celebrated at their bravery and humility. I feel hope for what could be- do you?

Life can be messy but Courage cleans it up

Image
I took this self portrait a few days ago.  The necklace, which reads "Courage to be ME" was something I made for myself years ago.  On the other side of it is a picture of Calamity Jane, cowgirl boots and her gun included.  Some days, I just need to wear it.  Life has been messy and challenging lately, things are changing all around me and inside of me.  Don't get me wrong my love, I'm up for the challenge, as long as I've got my cowgirl boots and gun at my side (grinning). Really though, joking aside, it's my courage that I find to be my greatest asset in life.  The courage to keep getting up, keep telling the truth, and even when I'm tired to keep asking for more.  It's how I'm made and I trust the one who put it inside of me to teach me how to use it in the best way possible.  So, courage has to be challenged to grow and fear has to be stared down in the face with a bring it on attitude in my world. So let the changes come- let the wor...

A Love Letter to Myself (& to you)

Image
Oh my dear sweet heart, how I cherish you. Your tender heart is soft with tears and open open open. How I long to hold you close to me and bring you a cup of tea, to wrap you in love blankets and sing you a song of you. The world is busy and full, but you can take your time my dear sweet heart.  You will not be left behind. Oh, how the Universe sings when you sit quiet and listen. The freckles on your face remind me of all the angels who have kissed your cheeks whilst you were sleeping. Rest my sweet heart.  Rest your angel heart & wings. All is well and life holds itself awake for your return.

Hypertension & Honoring the Body's Voice

The best way I honor my body is to "listen" to it aches and pains as cries for love and attention. Recently I had my blood pressure taken and it was 128/86 !!!  I was shocked and also, paradoxically, not so surprised. I went home and sat with the information in meditation. It came to my attention that my "hypertension" was really inner anger.  I couldn't immediately identify what I was angry about, but, when I found myself yelling at my son and my husband the next morning about having to micromanage their lives I witnessed myself.  Yikes...... there's my anger and it's ugly today. So, over the next few days the anger began to seep up from my blood vessels to my awareness.  Lordy lordy, I'm seeing anger all over the place in small doses, adding up to a hell of a lot.  So, it's boundary setting time again in my world.  Time to pull the word NO back out of my pocket and use it. I've also booked a trip to Mexico for JUST my hu...
